Join SMS Equipment and work with some of the largest and most advanced heavy equipment in the world. You’ll play a hands-on role in keeping operations running safely and efficiently by:
Diagnosing and repairing haul trucks, dozers, excavators, shovels, loaders, and gradersPerforming troubleshooting and major component replacements in shop and field environmentsWorking with hydraulic and powertrain systemsEnsuring timely, high-quality repairs whether working independently or in a teamFollowing all safety procedures, including confined space and PPE requirementsMake recommendations regarding the extent of repairs and suggest methods of improvement.What You Bring
We’re looking for a team player with a strong work ethic and safety-first mindset. Successful candidates will have:
Journeyperson Heavy Duty Mechanic certification (Red Seal considered an asset)Strong mechanical problem-solving skills and a commitment to safe, high-quality workAbility to work independently and communicate effectively in both team and customer-facing settingsExperience with Komatsu equipment is considered an asset.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Pre-Employment Requirements
