This impactful part-time position is key for individuals passionate about supporting victims through hard times. You will engage in crisis intervention, community coordination, and court assistance for those affected by crime and trauma. A commitment to compassion and effective communication is crucial, as you will act as a trusted advocate for the community.
Key Responsibilities:
• Offer frontline emotional support to victims of crime
• Coordinate community resources and services effectively
• Provide court assistance and accompany victims during proceedings
• Maintain clear communication with stakeholders and clients
• Advocate for victims within the criminal justice system
Requirements:
• Completion of senior secondary school or equivalent
• Minimum two years post-secondary education in a relevant field
• One year experience in Victim Services or related support
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Power Point
• Valid Class 5 BC Driver's License
