As a Victim Support Advocate, you will engage in crisis intervention, community outreach, and legal support for victims of crime. Your strong communication skills will enable you to build trust and make a profound impact on people’s lives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide trauma-informed emotional support to victims
• Coordinate community resources and services effectively
• Assist with legal procedures and court attendance
• Foster relationships with law enforcement and support organizations
• Serve as a voice for victims within the justice framework
Requirements:
• Completed senior secondary education or equivalent
• Two years of relevant post-secondary education required
• Minimum one year of relevant experience in victim services
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point
• Valid Class 5 BC Driver's License
