Kamloops Social Services Outreach Worker

Support Indigenous individuals in need as a Social Services Outreach Worker with Connective in Kamloops, BC.

Your role will facilitate training and resources for successful community reintegration.

This position requires collaboration with the Kamloops First Nations Court and Cknúcwentn Elders Justice Council to provide outreach services. You will play a crucial part in assessing individual needs, securing resources, and enabling individuals to adhere to their court-ordered conditions. Your work will empower individuals to reclaim their lives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct needs assessments and remove barriers to services

• Participate in court meetings and transportation services

• Support clients in achieving their Healing Plans

• Collaborate with community organizations to secure resources

• Engage clients in programs for acquiring life skills

Requirements:

• Degree or diploma in Social Work or ample related experience

• Experience working with the criminal justice system

• Familiar with Indigenous communities

• Crisis intervention capabilities and communication skills

• Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle
