Join the Lower Nicola Indian Band as a Youth Outreach Worker in Merritt, BC, enhancing the lives of youth through mentorship and skill development. This full-time position focuses on youth aged 13-30 facing challenges.

As a Youth Outreach Worker, you will play a critical role in supporting young people by providing life skills mentorship and outreach, ensuring they have the resources to navigate personal challenges. Collaborating with community partners, you'll work to create culturally appropriate programs that promote social and emotional well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver emotional and practical support to youth in need

• Engage youth using trauma-informed methods

• Organize and facilitate workshops on communication and conflict resolution

• Build partnerships with schools and community service providers

• Promote youth participation in cultural and community activities

Requirements:

• Diploma or degree in a relevant field such as Human Services

• Experience working in First Nations settings

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• Ability to build rapport and work independently

• Strong commitment to culturally safe practices
