Position Summary

We are hiring a relief full‑time Social Worker based out of our Thompson Park Mall location in Kamloops. This position requires home visits and some coverage for Barriere and Chase.

Monday to Friday

08:00 to 16:00

This is a temporary opportunity until the return of incumbent. As a Social Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting clients and their families by providing comprehensive assessments, care planning, and coordinated support tailored to their unique needs. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, delivering direct psychosocial care through counseling, group work, and meaningful client engagement. In this role, you will help individuals navigate complex systems, advocate for their needs, and connect them with specialized resources that empower long‑term well‑being.

You will also support clients in building self‑management skills, fostering resilience and independence. With a focus on improving overall health and social functioning, you will contribute to developing responsive social work services that make a meaningful impact in the community.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from an accredited university.
• Two years recent related experience in a healthcare setting working with medically complex clients with concurrent disorders, or a combination of education, training and experience.
• Current full registration with the British Columbia College of Social Workers. Current valid BC driver’s license.
