Join the ASK Wellness Society as a full-time Housing and Street Outreach Worker in Merritt. This role focuses on supporting individuals facing multiple challenges to secure safe housing solutions.

As part of the Housing, Street, and Health Navigation Team, your mission will be to assist Program Participants in overcoming barriers to obtain appropriate shelter and essential services. You will provide personalized support, mediate with landlords, and liaise with community caregivers to facilitate access to health services and housing. Your outreach efforts will aim to reduce homelessness in the community while maintaining a client-centered approach.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized support to Program Participants

• Develop customized support systems and referrals

• Mediate interactions between clients and landlords

• Conduct outreach services alongside community partners

• Document client statistics and services provided

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or equivalent

• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle

• Strong communication and conflict management skills

• Ability to work within a multi-agency environment

• Clear criminal record check required
