Tenant Support Worker

Join the ASK Wellness Society as a Tenant Support Worker in Kamloops, where you'll empower individuals facing mental health and substance use challenges. This role is focused on life skills development, offering shifts from morning to night.

As a Tenant Support Worker, you will facilitate independent living for Program Participants by supporting their individual goals.

Your role will emphasize a client-centered, trauma-informed approach, requiring strong communication and interpersonal skills. Collaboration with community resources is essential, coupled with effective supervision to ensure safety and comfort for the participants.

Key Responsibilities:

• Encourage independent living for Program Participants

• Participate in assessments and program planning

• Provide supervision to mitigate individual and program risk

• Collaborate with community resources effectively

• Conduct wellness and room checks when necessary

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Social Work or equivalent experience

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to address difficult behaviors

• Must pass a criminal record check

• Occupational First Aid Level 1 required within two weeks
