Community Outreach Worker - Human Services

Empower individuals in their community as a Community Outreach Worker. Support meaningful living experiences through skill teaching and advocacy in-person every day.

This casual position requires a diploma in human or social services and one year of related experience. You will assist individuals in developing everyday skills like cooking, money management, and personal care. Advocacy, relationship building, and promoting independence are key components of this role, ensuring individuals are supported in their journey toward independence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach individuals skills for independent living

• Advocate for client needs and rights effectively

• Develop and implement person-centered plans

• Assist clients with personal care and safety

• Build positive relationships with families and professionals

Requirements:

• Diploma in human/social service required

• One year of relevant experience needed

• Clear criminal record check required

• Valid Class 5 Driver’s Abstract mandatory

• First Aid Certificate must be current
