Your role emphasizes building relationships and supporting mental health and housing challenges.
As a Casual Youth Support Specialist, you will work around the clock to ensure a safe shelter environment for vulnerable youth. This position supports youths' emotional well-being and fosters life skills while collaborating closely with community partners. Effective crisis response and teamwork are essential to this position.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess youth needs and ensure service suitability
• Maintain a safe and inclusive environment
• Document intakes and case notes accurately
• Respond to crises and monitor day-to-day needs
• Provide referrals to community resources and supports
Requirements:
• Diploma or Degree in Human/Social Services
• 2 years’ experience in youth support roles
• Crisis management and teamwork skills
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License required
• TB clearance and satisfactory criminal record check
