Join the ASK Wellness Society as a Tenant Support Worker, providing critical support to individuals grappling with mental health and substance use issues. This on-call role emphasizes a trauma-informed approach to empower clients toward independence and stability.

In this casual position, you will support program participants across various Merritt sites, participating in assessments and goal-setting. Effective communication is essential in this role, as you will work to enhance participants' self-esteem and connection to community resources. This collaborative environment requires a team-oriented mindset while adhering to professional boundaries.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support clients in achieving independent living goals

• Participate actively in program planning and assessments

• Conduct wellness checks as necessary

• Engage community resources for focused participant support

• Respond to crises with effective intervention techniques

Requirements:

• Degree in Social Work or equivalent

• Excellent interpersonal and documentation skills

• Knowledge of available community resources

• Clear criminal background check mandatory

• First Aid Level 1 certification required within two weeks
