Cultural Support Worker in Community Services

Join TteS as a Cultural Support Worker to empower individuals and families through Secwepemc cultural teachings. This full-time position strengthens identity, belonging, and cultural safety, supporting those in crisis.

In this important role within Community Services, you will leverage your understanding of Secwépemc culture and traditions to provide emotional, spiritual, and practical support to individuals experiencing crisis. The position focuses on building respectful relationships within the community and facilitating connections to cultural resources, Elders, and traditional wellness practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide culturally grounded support to individuals and families

• Facilitate access to Elders and land-based healing opportunities

• Advocate for culturally safe services in crisis situations

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary Crisis Response Team members

• Engage in community outreach and wellness initiatives

Requirements:

• Minimum three years of relevant experience in Indigenous communities

• Strong knowledge of Secwépemc culture and traditions

• Criminal Record Check – Vulnerable Sector required

• Willingness to obtain Crisis Response training within six months

• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License
