Lead a dedicated team as the Housing Focused Shelter Team Lead at The Mustard Seed in Kamloops, BC. This full-time role includes crisis intervention and person-centered support for shelter guests.

In this leadership position, you will oversee operations and support Housing Focused Shelter Workers in delivering high-quality services to vulnerable populations. Collaborating closely with the Shelter Manager, you will conduct daily assessments and provide coaching, ensuring an environment of safety and respect. Your strong leadership will empower shelter staff and contribute to meaningful outcomes for individuals accessing your programs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor Housing Focused Shelter Workers effectively

• Conduct intake assessments and offer case management support

• Manage communications and coordinate staff coverage

• Foster trusting relationships with shelter guests

• Ensure compliance with health and safety standards

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years in a frontline social services role

• Strong communication and conflict resolution skills

• Knowledge of mental health issues and addictions

• Valid First Aid and Crisis Intervention Certification

• Diploma in Human Services or related field preferred
