Youth Care Worker - Casual

Become a Youth Care Worker with Interior Community Services in Kamloops, BC, where you’ll support youth through crisis interventions, life skills education, and recreational activities. This casual position offers flexible hours, with shifts available across all times of the day and night.

In your role as a casual Youth Care Worker, you will employ your skills in life skills training, behavior management, and crisis de-escalation while collaborating closely with care teams and families. This compassionate position allows you to make a valuable impact on the lives of youth experiencing trauma and support them in achieving independence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach life skills for independent living

• Guide behavior management and coping strategies

• De-escalate crisis situations with effective interventions

• Collaborate with family and care teams for support

• Plan nutritious meals and maintain a clean environment

Requirements:

• Diploma in Human or Social services or related field

• Experience with youth and diverse needs preferred

• BC Class 5 Driver’s License with a safe driving record

• Willingness to undergo a Criminal Record Check

• Ability to engage in physical activities
