Support adults with diverse abilities as a Full-Time Residence Worker at Desmond House in Kamloops, BC. Empower residents through life skills coaching, personal care, and community connections.
In this rewarding role, you will assist adults in living independently and meaningfully. Candidates with a Community Support Worker Certificate and experience working with seniors are encouraged to apply. Key Responsibilities:
• Assist with daily personal and palliative care needs
• Plan engaging activities that promote community integration
• Prepare healthy meals and manage household tasks efficiently
• Administer medication and support healthcare requirements
• Help residents connect with family, social workers, and resources
Requirements:
• Certificate in Community Support Work or similar
• Recent experience with seniors with diverse abilities
• Valid BC Class 4 Driver’s License or ability to obtain
• TB test clearance and criminal record check
• Ability to handle physical care tasks and emergencies
