As part of the Crisis Response Team, you will reinforce cultural identity and connection to community during crises. Your work includes building trust, advocating for culturally safe practices, and facilitating access to Elders. Collaborate with other team members to create a supportive environment for all individuals in need of crisis intervention.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver emotional and spiritual support to those in crisis
• Establish connections with community members and leaders
• Advocate for culturally appropriate responses and solutions
• Support transition from crisis to stabilization for families
• Participate in cultural outreach within the community
Requirements:
• Minimum three years’ experience aiding Indigenous communities
• Knowledge of local culture, traditions, and community protocols
• Willingness to obtain Crisis Response training
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence
• Flexibility and availability for on-call emergencies
