Take charge as the Housing Focused Shelter Team Lead at The Mustard Seed in Kamloops, BC. This full-time role involves team leadership, crisis management, and comprehensive guest support.

As the Team Lead, your mission will be to cultivate a respectful and supportive shelter environment while guiding Housing Focused Shelter Workers. You will manage vital daily operations, conduct assessments, and facilitate case management to help guests achieve their housing goals. By fostering professional development among your team, you will enhance service delivery and community impact.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise Housing Shelter Workers and manage shift activities

• Provide crisis intervention and conflict resolution as needed

• Maintain clear communications and coordinate staff schedules

• Support guests with individualized case management

• Ensure safety protocols and shelter cleanliness

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of frontline experience in social services

• Demonstrated leadership and mentoring skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication

• First Aid and Non-Violent Crisis Intervention certified

• Asset:
Diploma in Human Services or relevant discipline
