Position: Team Lead for Shelter Operations
Lead and empower the Housing Focused Shelter Workers at The Mustard Seed in Kamloops, BC. This part-time role involves mentorship, crisis intervention, and ensuring guest-centered support.

As the Shelter Team Lead, you'll oversee shift activities, lead a dedicated team, and support operational tasks at The Mustard Seed. This role emphasizes leadership, providing feedback, and assisting with case management while promoting a safe environment for vulnerable individuals. You'll play a pivotal part in ensuring all shelter operations run smoothly and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide proactive leadership to Housing Focused Shelter Workers

• Oversee daily shift operations and staff responsibilities

• Conduct intake, assessments, and referrals for guests

• Facilitate crisis intervention and conflict resolution

• Maintain accurate client records and reports

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of frontline social services experience

• Strong communication and conflict resolution skills

• Diploma or certificate in Human Services or similar

• Leadership abilities and organizational skills

• Valid Standard First Aid and Crisis Intervention Certification
