This vital role within the Parks and Recreation Department involves hands-on planning, implementation, and supervision of programs tailored for seniors. You will work independently and collaboratively, assessing community demands while coordinating resources and staff effectively. Your experience in community development will help enhance the lives of seniors in diverse settings.
Key Responsibilities:
• Identify and program senior community interests
• Supervise staff, volunteers, and program delivery
• Work with various organizations for event execution
• Develop strong relations with senior-focused committees
• Monitor and evaluate community service effectiveness
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Recreation or Gerontology related field
• Valid Class 5 BC Driver's License required
• Certification in Standard First Aid and CPR Level "C/AED"
• Ability to pass a clear Police Information Check
• Flexible availability for evening/weekend duties
