Become the Family Services Team Leader at Scw’exmx Child and Family Services Society, focusing on child safety and community-based practices. This role emphasizes leadership within a culturally sensitive framework.
Your primary responsibility is to supervise Family Services Social Workers while ensuring compliance with both legislative requirements and organizational goals. With a focus on trauma-informed practice, you'll guide staff through complex cases and promote healthy family dynamics. Your efforts will directly contribute to SCFSS's prevention-focused objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Supervise and guide Family Services team members
• Oversee compliance with child safety and community standards
• Assist with risk assessment documentation and analysis
• Monitor workload and support staff wellness
• Enhance partnerships with prevention teams and community agencies
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work (BSW) required
• Three years' experience in family or child protection services
• Knowledge in delegated authority decision-making
• Proven ability to mentor and support staff
• Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License and clear background checks
Lead with compassion and cultural awareness to make a meaningful impact on families at SCFSS.
