Position: Housing-Focused Shelter Supervisor
Become a Housing Focused Shelter Supervisor at The Mustard Seed in Kamloops, BC. This role is integral in leading shelter operations, providing support, and fostering relationships.

You will supervise a team of Housing Focused Shelter Workers, ensuring daily operations align with the mission of The Mustard Seed. Your responsibilities include training staff, mentoring volunteers, and actively engaging with guests to provide essential support and guidance. Crisis intervention and conflict resolution are key elements of this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Train and supervise Housing Focused Shelter Workers

• Conduct intake assessments and manage guest caseloads

• Ensure effective communication within the team

• Facilitate crisis intervention and foster healthy relationships

• Complete daily reports and maintain client confidentiality

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years in frontline social services work

• Strong leadership and communication skills

• Diploma in Human Services or related field

• First Aid and Crisis Intervention certifications

• Proficient in record-keeping systems
