Part-Time Youth Support Worker

Join the KYS team as a Part-Time Youth Support Worker in Kamloops, BC. This role focuses on assessment, intervention, and support for youth aged 13-18, ensuring a safe and inclusive environment.

In this temporary position, you will provide critical assistance to youth facing emergencies and promote positive change and growth in their lives. You will collaborate with caregivers, offer referrals, and maintain an engaging atmosphere. Your direct impact on youth wellbeing will rely on your ability to establish trust, implement effective intervention strategies, and document progress accurately.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain a welcoming and inclusive environment

• Conduct assessments to identify necessary support

• Ensure youth safety in daily routines

• Collaborate with community professionals to set goals

• Provide life skills support using a strengths-based approach

Requirements:

• Degree or Diploma in Human/Social Service

• Two years related experience required

• Valid Class 5 Driver's License

• TB Testing required

• Background check through MCFD HUB
