Join the ASK Wellness Society as a Housing and Street Outreach Worker in Merritt. Engage with program participants to support housing services and reduce homelessness in the community.
This full-time role focuses on aiding individuals with multiple barriers in finding suitable housing solutions. The position requires personalized support, referrals to essential services, and mediating landlord relationships. You will also interact with community members in various settings, working towards effective solutions and outreach.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide individualized support for housing program participants
• Develop tailored support systems for clients
• Mediate issues between landlords and clients
• Offer street services to those in need
• Document client statistics and service outcomes
Requirements:
• Bachelor of Social Work or equivalent experience
• Valid driver's license for transportation
• Knowledge of community resources
• Ability to handle difficult behaviors
• Occupational First Aid Level 1 certification
