Position: Assistant Trainmaster for CPKC
CPKC is seeking an Assistant Trainmaster to enhance traffic efficiency in road territory and yard-terminal operations. This role focuses on coordinating daily operating plans safely and effectively.

As an Assistant Trainmaster at CPKC, you will oversee train movements, ensuring adherence to Local Service Operating Plan and Operating Plan, while standardizing processes for train arrival and dispatch. This leadership role requires active supervision, communication across departments, and a commitment to safety and productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate all train movements in yard and mainline

• Standardize arrival, classification, and dispatch processes

• Lead staff engagement for safety and compliance

• Operate trains and maintain necessary certifications

• Assist in crew transportation to and from trains

Requirements:

• Previous railway experience as conductor or engineer

• Valid driver's license and flexible availability

• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills

• Proficient in MS Office applications

• Ability to read and comprehend safety regulations
