Class 1 Driver and Heavy Equipment Operator

Join SECURE as a Class 1 Driver/Heavy Equipment Operator in Kamloops. This role requires equipment operation and driving skills to support recycling operations effectively.

SECURE, a leader in Waste Management and Energy Infrastructure, is seeking a dedicated individual for our Metals Recycling team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating excavators and material handlers, especially those from Forestry, Construction, or Oilfield backgrounds. Our drivers prioritize safety and adherence to regulations while contributing to efficient site operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate over dimension trucks in challenging conditions

• Maintain logbooks and ensure load security

• Conduct pre/post-trip inspections on equipment

• Communicate effectively with customers regarding service

• Transport hazardous and non-hazardous materials as required

Requirements:

• Valid Class 1 with Q Endorsement Driver’s License

• Minimum 3 years driving experience

• Strong mechanical knowledge of transport vehicles

• Ability to work varied shifts and occasional overtime

• Experience operating heavy equipment like excavators
