Dump Truck​/Hook Lift Driver

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Dump Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in operating dump trucks including hook lift, pulling pony and equipment trailers, and will be responsible for transporting materials and equipment to and from job sites. This position requires a strong commitment to safety, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

• Operate dump trucks safely and efficiently to transport materials such as gravel, sand, and construction debris.
• Operate truck and trailer and load various equipment for hauling.
• Load and unload materials using appropriate equipment, ensuring proper handling and safety protocols are followed.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including routes taken and materials transported.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and site managers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.
• Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations regarding truck driving and transportation of materials.
• Assist with route planning to optimize delivery efficiency while ensuring compliance with weight limits and road restrictions.

• Valid Class 1 drivers license with 5 years experience.
• 2 years experience hauling equipment.
• Familiarity with manual transmission operation is preferred.
• Experience with trailers, ponies and flatbeds.
• Previous delivery driver experience is beneficial for understanding logistics and route driving.
• Ability to operate excavator/loader for offloading materials is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety regulations related to truck driving.

Job Type: Full time

Pay: $32.00-$36.00 per hour
