Position: Full-Time Garbage Truck Operator TteS
Join Tk’emlúps te Secwépemc (TteS) as a full-time Garbage and Recycling Truck Operator. Drive safely while removing refuse and maintaining essential equipment for the community.

In this permanent position within the Planning and Engineering department, you will report to the Public Works Foreman.

Your role revolves around operating the garbage/recycling truck for TteS residents and ensuring equipment upkeep. Ideal candidates should have a Grade 10 education and exhibit strong mechanical skills alongside a reliable work ethic.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate garbage/recycling truck for waste removal

• Conduct pre-trip vehicle inspections for safety

• Maintain equipment and perform light repairs

• Manage public interactions with courtesy

• Handle additional public works tasks as needed

Requirements:

• Grade 10 education or relevant driving experience

• Valid Class 5 driver’s license and clean record

• WHMIS Training certificate required

• Level One First Aid certification

• Basic knowledge of landfill operations
