Class 1 Driver – B-Train Side Dump / End Dump Company Description

Big Deal Contracting Ltd. is an oilfield and mining services company supporting projects throughout Western and Northern Canada. We provide experienced personnel, transportation, equipment and field support for remote and demanding operations.

We are currently looking to add experienced Class 1 Drivers to our team. This position is based out of Kamloops, BC, with work throughout British Columbia and other project locations as required.

This is a full-time Class 1 Truck Driver position primarily operating B-train side dumps and dump truck/end-dump combinations with quad trailers or pups.

Drivers may be hauling on highways, resource roads and mine or industrial sites. The work can involve remote locations, changing project requirements and varying schedules, so we are looking for experienced drivers who are dependable, adaptable and comfortable working independently.

• Safely operate B-train side dumps, end dumps, quad trailers and pups
• Complete thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Safely load, haul and dump materials
• Understand axle weights, load distribution and legal weight requirements
• Maintain accurate ELD logs, BOLs and required paperwork
• Maintain clear communication with dispatch regarding location, delays, job status and operational concerns
• Follow Hours of Service and applicable commercial transportation regulations
• Safely operate on highways, resource roads, mine sites and remote project locations
• Immediately report mechanical, equipment or safety concerns
• Maintain assigned equipment in a clean and professional condition
• Follow company, customer, oilfield and mine-site safety requirements

• Previous commercial driving experience
• B-train, side-dump and/or end-dump experience strongly preferred
• Experience with quad trailers and pups considered a strong asset
• Resource-road, mining and oilfield experience considered an asset
• Strong understanding of commercial vehicle inspections, axle weights and load management
• Comfortable using ELDs and maintaining accurate Hours of Service records
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with dispatch and operations
• Reliable, professional and safety-focused
• Comfortable working independently and in remote locations
• Willing to work varying schedules and travel for project assignments when required
