Junior Process Equipment Technician

Step into a hands-on role with BWXT Medical Ltd as a Junior Process Equipment Technician in Kanata, Ontario. Fabricate and maintain essential equipment, ensuring seamless facility operations every day.

This 12-month contract position involves working directly with engineering teams to set up, test, and document equipment specifications. You'll assist in developing innovative mechanical solutions, contributing to troubleshooting and prototype designs. Your expertise will maintain top-notch quality and safety standards within our facility.

Key Responsibilities:

• Fabricate equipment components and prototypes with minimal supervision

• Set up and test equipment according to specifications

• Operate and maintain shop equipment in good condition

• Create working sketches or designs for components

• Provide technical support for original prototype design

Requirements:

• Grade 12 technical secondary school education

• Machinist qualification and 3-4 years of relevant experience

• High skill level as a machinist

• Familiarity with welding or industrial mechanics

• Ability to operate a forklift and wear a respirator
