Pharmacist role at Phar Merica – a non‑retail pharmacy serving hospitals, rehabilitation facilities, long‑term acute care centers and other specialized care centers nationwide.

We are seeking a highly capable and motivated individual to join our team. This position offers growth under a state‑licensed pharmacist, with opportunities for advancement in our high‑growth organization.

Schedule: Monday–Friday 9:00 am–6:30 pm.

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate physician medication orders for appropriateness of drug, dosage, potential interactions, and route of administration; make recommendations as appropriate.
  • Maintain patient/resident database including medical history, clinical and laboratory data, and concurrent medications.
  • Ensure appropriate laboratory tests for monitoring high‑risk conditions are ordered, evaluated, and discussed with the healthcare team.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide clinical and technical support as needed.
  • Document all communication with physicians, nurses, other team members, patients/residents and families in the medical record.
  • Implement policies and procedures for safe procurement, storage, distribution and use of drugs and biologicals, and proper disposal.
  • Obtain and maintain all required documentation per federal and state regulations.
  • Inform the Pharmacy Manager of medication‑related errors.
  • Assist staff with safe and effective procurement, maintenance, administration, and disposal of drugs.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy;
    Pharm D preferred.
  • One year of experience in long‑term care.
  • Licenses/Certifications as required by regulations and business needs.
  • Detail‑oriented, goal‑oriented, team player with strong oral communication skills.
