Senior In-House Litigation Attorney

Location:

Madison, WI (requires relocation; full relocation assistance provided)

Overview

We are seeking exceptional attorneys to join our legal team. You’ll support our ongoing growth as we expand our offerings and enter new global markets. Your primary focus will be on managing complex litigation and counseling on various areas of potential risk, including regulatory, competition, and healthcare law. You'll assist in handling and winning multi‑million dollar disputes, minimize risk through proactive counseling, and represent the company in high‑stakes legal proceedings.

Additionally, you'll forge relationships with vendors and industry collaborators, ensuring compliance with existing and developing legal frameworks in the US and abroad.

Responsibilities
  • Manage complex litigation and counsel on risk areas such as regulatory, competition, and healthcare law
  • Represent Epic in high‑stakes legal proceedings and multi‑million dollar disputes
  • Develop proactive counseling strategies to minimize risk
  • Forge relationships with vendors and industry collaborators
  • Ensure compliance with current and evolving legal frameworks domestically and internationally
Qualifications
  • JD (or equivalent) with experience counseling toward risk mitigation
  • Experience drafting motions and briefs, taking depositions, conducting oral arguments, leading settlement negotiations, and trialing cases
  • Strong academic and professional background
  • Experience in competition and regulatory litigation is a plus
  • COVID‑19 vaccination required
  • Excellent attention to detail, creativity, and strong written and analytic skills
  • Proficiency in communication and collaboration across global teams
