As an Operations Generalist, you'll ensure our merchandising and inventory strategies are executed across the Pet Care Center using our Petco processes. You will maintain efficient and effective operations to meet the needs of guests and their pets. Your responsibilities include stocking, cleaning, handling cash, and providing an excellent experience. Excellence in this role requires a passion for animal welfare and a positive partnership with your team.

• Maintain and inventory the entire Pet Care Center.
• Ensure merchandise is properly stocked, priced, and displayed.
• Process register transactions creating a great guest experience.
• Be proficient within our selling model and support guest interactions as needed.
• Show a strong interest in animal welfare and support animal care procedures to maintain pet health.
• Complete and apply training programs to maintain high expertise in your role.
• Promote a positive culture of teamwork, inclusion, and collaboration.
• Adhere to established operational guidelines, policies, and procedures.
• Complete other duties and special projects as assigned.
• Evaluate guest inquiries and refer to the Leader on Duty as needed.

• Minimum high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Proficiency in mathematics and above-average communication skills.
• Professional appearance and genuine interest in animal care.
• Good interpersonal and verbal communication skills for public interactions.

In addition to a high school diploma or its equivalent, applicants must demonstrate proficiency in mathematics, basic accounting relationships, and exceptional communication skills.

The majority of duties are conducted indoors, with occasional merchandise handling requiring bending, kneeling, carrying up to 50 pounds, and standing for long periods. The position may require a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

Actual pay rates will depend on factors such as position, location, level of experience, and applicable state or local minimum wage laws. If the regulatory minimum wage exceeds the minimum indicated in the pay range below, the regulatory minimum wage will be the minimum rate applied.

Salary Range: $16.00 - $22.00
