General Surgeon

Saint Mary's Hospital in Kankakee, IL
, is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible General Surgeon to join our growing surgical team! This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established hospital known for its commitment to compassionate care, clinical excellence, and community service.

• Will be employed by Prime Healthcare Illinois Medical Group.
• Full-time | Dayshift Schedule | Mon-Fri, 8 am-5pm
• Will provide a full range of general surgical services (including inpatient, outpatient, and emergency procedures)
• Bread and butter general surgery operations along with acute care surgery.
• Current services provided include a broad range of elective general surgery, endoscopy, as well as urgent surgery.
• In-house call not required (60 minute response time).
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of physicians, nurses, and support staff.
• We seek a full-time general surgeon with an interest in becoming a partner in a suburban practice.
• Should be interested working with and teaching surgery residents and medical students.

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited institution.
• Completion of an accredited General Surgery residency program.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Surgery (ABMS or AOA).
• Current and unrestricted Illinois medical license (or ability to obtain prior to start).
• Current DEA registration.
• Excellent interpersonal, clinical, and communication skills.
• Commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care.

  The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
