Pathologist

We are seeking a Pathologist Physician for a 2-day assignment in Illinois, beginning Oct 5, 2024. This role involves a full-time schedule from 9 AM to 5 PM on October 5th and 6th, requiring the physician to perform all grossing independently, serve as the sole pathologist, and manage a variety of pathology cases including surgical pathology, cytology, and clinic biopsies.

Practice Info

• Setting:
  Outpatient (Clinic Only)
• Patients Per Day: 5-20 cases, 1 procedure
• Staffing Mix: 1 MD

Responsibilities

• Perform all grossing independently.
• Serve as the sole pathologist for the assignment.
• Sign out bone marrow biopsies, general surgical pathology, and cytology.
• Perform peripheral blood smears and crystal exams.
• Review clinic biopsies including general surgery, urology, and gynecology.
• Conduct intraoperative adequacy assessments for pancreatic endoscopic ultrasounds.
• Perform ultrasound-guided thyroid FNA and CT/US guided biopsies.
• Execute frozen sections of tumors, skin lesions, margins, and joints (neutrophil count).
