Job Summary

Senior Process Engineer – Plant Engineering

Shift: Monday‑Friday 7 am – 4 pm. Eligible for performance bonus and company benefits (health, dental, vision, FSA, retirement, vacation, holidays). Safety and continuous improvement focus.

Responsibilities
  • Production support – understanding chemical & physical process steps.
  • Identify improvement opportunities in manufacturing operations and facility safety systems.
  • Develop process management tools – mass & energy balances, recipes, quality monitoring.
  • Diagnose controls, process & equipment issues, including emergency off‑hour troubleshooting.
  • Coordinate Safety & Regulatory activities – MOCs, PHAs, permitting, construction safety planning.
  • Engineering tasks – PFDs, P&IDs, equipment & instrument lists, general arrangements, functional specifications.
  • Prepare Capital Request Documents, project justification, scope, action items, meeting notes, project SharePoint, ROI calculation and post project savings reports.
  • Lead or support interdepartmental teams for major multi‑disciplined projects with 3rd‑party or internal resources.
  • Develop solutions and manage projects addressing production equipment and facility infrastructure.
  • Coordinate or oversee engineering and construction contractors.
  • Procurement management – RFQ/RFP editing, bid walks, bid evaluations, RFIs, vendor management, project materials management.
  • Monitor and report project controls – schedule, progress reports, budget, spend forecast, compliance.
  • Ensure personal safety, EHS adherence, lead preventative maintenance activities and troubleshoot complex equipment issues.

    Qualifications – Minimum
    • At least 18 years of age.
    • Legally authorized to work without needing visa sponsorship.
    • Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering or at least four years of work experience in engineering.
    • At least two years of experience in manufacturing, distribution, or operations function.
    • At least five years of experience in an engineering function.
    • Formal training or at least one year of experience with continuous improvement tools (Six Sigma, 5‑S, Lean Manufacturing, etc.).
    Preferred Qualifications
    • Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering.
    • At least six years of work experience in engineering.
    • Six Sigma certification (Green Belt, Black Belt, etc.).
    • Prior work experience applying Process Safety Management (PSM).
