Pay: $26.96 - $30.60 per hour

Shift Differential: $0.40 on 2nd shift / $0.45 on 3rd shift

AHF Products has a job opportunity for a Production Operator in Kankakee, IL. Reporting to the Operations Manager and Shift Team Lead, the Production Operator will be responsible for mixing chemical compounds to form tiles, adding coloration, setting up equipment for forming, shaping, heating, drying, and packaging for warehousing or customer shipment.

• Perform operator preventive maintenance, utilization of the computer control systems, perform cold start‑ups and shutdowns, assist with die changes, and perform daily walkthroughs.
• Operate the material control panel and related equipment.
• Input formulas for mixing the tile's raw materials.
• Maintain appropriate levels of raw materials to keep processing continuous.
• Add defined levels/weights of pigments for color and pattern schedules.
• Understand and adhere to daily production schedules.
• Properly grind and store materials for sizing and grinding operations.
• Develop mastery of the sizing system components, limitations, and use.
• Ensure quality standards are achieved and rework is minimized.
• Use elevator loads and procedures for moving products.
• Follow all safety guidelines: complete monthly safety training, use required PPE, read MSDS, follow job safety analysis procedures, obey LOTO rules, etc.
• Collaborate with the work team as a unit, rotate through all duties, and actively participate in troubleshooting processing problems.

• High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
• At least 1 year of experience in a related environment or equivalent training and/or education.
• Successfully complete and pass background check, employment verification, and drug screening.
• Positive and verifiable work history.

• Frequently push, pull, carry, and lift 20–50 lbs.
• Occasionally walk, stand, stretch, bend, stoop, twist, reach, and perform repetitive movements.
• Frequently talk, hear, read, and write.
• Frequently work in moderate noise up to 83 decibels.
