Role overview
As a Surface Finish Quality Assurance Technician, you will inspect painted parts against company and customer standards. You will conduct visual checks, take measurements, document results, and quickly communicate any deviations to the paint line and quality teams to maintain consistent quality and compliance.
Key responsibilities
Examine surfaces for paint defects including runs, drips, sags, thin or uneven coverage, overspray, contamination, and color mismatch.
Use approved gauges and test equipment to confirm paint thickness, gloss, and adhesion meet specification.
Approve only those parts that meet cosmetic and functional requirements before they move forward in production.
Record findings, maintain inspection logs, and complete required quality documentation accurately.
Quarantine nonconforming parts and promptly report issues to operators and supervisors.
Assist with verification and calibration checks of inspection tools; keep work area organized and clean.
Comply with safety, environmental, and company policies and procedures.
Participate in continuous improvement to reduce defects and stabilize coating quality.
Other duties as assigned.
Schedule and compensation1st Shift, Monday–Friday
Hours:
6:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.Saturdays scheduled as needed; schedule communicated each Wednesday at 2:30 p.m.Saturday hours when scheduled: 6:00 a.m.–11:00 a.m.Weekly pay $16.00 hourly rate
Full-time Minimum qualification
High school diploma or equivalent required.
