Richards Building Supply Co. is looking for a CDL Class B Driver for our Kankakee, IL location. The role can be filled with either a CDL Class A or CDL Class B license with Air Brake Endorsement. Semis with Moffett and/or knuckle boom/crane experience are desirable. Our delivery drivers are responsible for safely delivering products to job sites, unloading materials per the customer's request, receiving materials in the warehouse, loading trucks, and processing inventory.
Responsibilities- Safely deliver products to job sites and unload materials per customer requests.
- Receive materials in the warehouse and load trucks; process inventory.
- Operate Moffett and/or knuckle boom/crane equipment as needed.
- CDL Class B with Air Brake Endorsement or CDL Class A driver's license.
- 1 year CDL Class B driving experience or 2 years CDL Class A driving experience.
- Moffett and/or knuckle boom operating experience strongly preferred; crane (OSHA Certified) experience highly desired.
- Ability to drive a manual transmission.
- Current DOT medical card; clean driving record.
- Must be at least 23 years of age; heavy lifting experience.
- Must pass background check and pre-employment DOT drug screen.
- Must be able to continually lift 50-100 lbs. of material; some lifting over 100 lbs will be required.
- Deliveries will include unloading shingles on one- and two-story homes.
- Loading trucks with material scheduled for the day’s deliveries within compliance of securing and distributing weight limits according to DOT regulations.
- Unloading trucks and receiving merchandise at the warehouse; move materials to designated areas.
- 20 paid days off (includes PTO, holidays and company closure between Christmas and New Year’s).

- Flexible work hours; home every night; typical schedule Monday-Friday 7:00 A.M. – 4:00 P.M.
