As a Before & After Care Worker, you will be responsible for assisting in maintenance of an orderly, safe and pleasant atmosphere in the cafeteria, on the playground and in other designated locations by helping and supervising students during authorized before or after school programs in accordance with CSUSA policy and established school procedures.

• Maintain an orderly, safe and pleasant atmosphere in cafeteria, playground and designated locations.
• Assist and supervise students during authorized before or after school programs.
• Reflect a professional manner and provide excellent customer service.
• Resolve conflicts with students and parents, being firm but friendly, courteous and professional.
• Report to the Director of the Before and After Care Program and the school principal.
• Follow proper student sign‑in and dismissal procedures for before care.
• Follow proper student check‑in and dismissal procedures for after care.
• Monitor students; observe entries and exits from childcare area.
• Pass out snacks; play with students on playground.
• Tutor and assist students with homework.
• Usual school working conditions; may be noisy during high student traffic.

• High school diploma or higher education credential.
• Previous experience as daycare assistant or summer camp counselor, preferred.
• Must like children.
• Commitment to company values.
• Such alternatives to the above requirements as CSUSA may find appropriate and acceptable.
• May perform other duties as assigned.

May be noisy during high student traffic.

• No physical exertion required.
• Somewhat stressful due to frequent student activity.
• Light work:
  Exerting up to 20 pounds occasionally, or up to 10 pounds frequently to move objects.

Job is exempt from the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act.
