Merchandise and Stocking Associate – Sam’s Club
Join our team as a Merchandise and Stocking Associate at Sam’s Club. In this role, you will work on your feet, keep things neat and organized, and support members in finding the products on their shopping list. Your job may involve moving inventory in the backroom, unloading trucks, fulfilling club pick‑up orders, or helping members when stocking shelves. This fast‑paced, physically demanding role is like having a paid gym session.
Basepay range
$17.00/hr – $24.00/hr
Position SummaryOur merchandising & stocking associates connect all parts of the store to ensure members can easily locate the items they need. Whether it’s everyday essentials or special occasion goods, you’ll act as a “mini tour guide,” helping members find products and ensuring shelves are stocked, displays are tidy, and safety standards are met.

You will make an impact by:
- Promptly unloading trucks
- Assisting fellow associates as needed throughout the store
- Sorting and stocking products on shelves and in the backroom
- Engaging with vendors and drivers with a positive attitude
- Maintaining a clean, neat, and member‑ready area
- Provide member service by acknowledging members and identifying their needs; guide them concerning self‑service technology; assist with purchasing decisions; locate merchandise; resolve member issues; promote company products and services.
- Maintain safety of the facility according to company policies; conduct safety sweeps; follow forklift spotting procedures; handle hazardous materials safely; correct and report unsafe situations.
- Maintain sales floor and merchandise presentation; zone the area; stock, arrange and organize merchandise; set up, clean, and organize product displays; remove damaged goods; sign and price merchandise; identify shrink and damages; secure fragile and high‑shrink items.
- Monitor food and merchandise quality; enforce product rotation, code‑dating, recalls, and sanitation standards; display promotional and seasonal merchandise prominently.
- Apply company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity; use Open Door Policy; execute business processes.
- Complete work assignments and priorities; use policies, data, and resources; collaborate with managers, co‑workers, customers, and business partners; identify priorities, deadlines, and expectations; communicate progress; recommend improvement opportunities; adapt to change.
- Ensure club pick‑up orders are filled; assist with picking and staging throughout the day; follow company policies and procedures.

Premiums may be paid ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
