Primary Teacher – Mathematics (Grades 1–5)

1. Position Summary
We are seeking a  dedicated and experienced Primary Mathematics Teacher  with a strong foundation in mathematics education to instruct and inspire learners in  Grades 1 to 5 . The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent pedagogy, understanding of primary learners, and proficiency in delivering the CBSE/ school-aligned Maths curriculum with clarity, creativity, and a growth mindset.
This role is critical to  fostering strong mathematical foundations , promoting analytical thinking, and supporting learners in early numeracy competencies in line with our  institutional academic needs .

Key Responsibilities
Teaching & Learning
Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and differentiated Mathematics lessons for Grades 1–5.
Use a variety of instructional strategies including inquiry-based, activity-based, and concept-oriented learning to make mathematics meaningful and enjoyable.
Integrate technology and manipulatives (where appropriate) to support understanding of mathematical concepts.
Assessment & Feedback
Design and administer formative and summative assessments aligned with curriculum outcomes.
Provide timely, constructive feedback to students and maintain accurate academic records.
Analyse assessment data to inform instructional strategies and support learner progress.
Classroom Management & Student Support
Establish a positive, inclusive, and disciplined learning environment.
Support individual learner needs through remedial activities and differentiated support plans.
Monitor student growth and maintain communication with parents/guardians regarding performance and behaviour.
Collaboration & Professional Development
Collaborate with colleagues to plan grade-level units, share best practices, and develop instructional resources.
Participate in faculty meetings, professional learning communities (PLCs), and school initiatives.
Engage in continuous professional development to remain current with research-based practices in primary mathematics education.

3. Qualifications & Experience
Mandatory
Graduate in Mathematics  (B.Sc./B.Ed. with Mathematics major OR equivalent)
Teaching Certification  (B.Ed. / relevant teacher preparation qualification)
Preferred
Minimum 2–4 years of proven teaching experience  in primary Mathematics (Grades 1–5), preferably in CBSE/IB/International curriculum contexts.
Strong classroom management skills tailored to young learners.
