Role Description The Technical (Coding Practice) role at IEC College Of Engineering & Technology is a part-time, on-site position based in Greater Noida. The role involves conducting practical coding sessions and labs for students, guiding them through programming exercises, assignments, and projects in line with the curriculum. The selected candidate will help students strengthen core programming concepts, debug code, and adopt best practices in software development.
Responsibilities include preparing practice problems, evaluating student submissions, providing constructive feedback, and supporting students during lab hours and scheduled practice sessions. The role also includes collaborating with faculty to align coding practice with theoretical coursework and staying current with emerging programming tools and technologies.
Qualifications
Strong programming skills in one or more languages such as C/C++, Java, Python, or similar, with the ability to explain core concepts clearly.
Experience with data structures, algorithms, and problem-solving techniques relevant to coding practice and interviews.
Familiarity with software development tools and environments (IDEs, version control such as Git, debugging tools) used in academic or industry settings.
Ability to design coding exercises, lab assignments, and practice problems that match different skill levels.
Excellent communication, mentoring, and classroom or lab management skills, with a student-centered approach to teaching.
Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline; advanced degrees or relevant certifications are an advantage.
Prior experience as a lab instructor, teaching assistant, coding mentor, or software developer is highly desirable.
