Head - Early Years

We are looking for an experienced and passionate  Head of Early Years  to lead our Early Years programme and work closely with our team of educators to create a developmentally appropriate, joyful and intellectually stimulating learning environment for young children.
We are looking for someone who understands that Early Years education is not simply about preparing children for formal schooling, but about building the foundations for  curiosity, communication, independence, relationships, creativity and lifelong learning.
The ideal candidate will:  
• Have a strong understanding of Early Childhood Education and contemporary early years theories and approaches

• Be able to translate theory into meaningful classroom practice

• Have experience in developing and implementing an age-appropriate Early Years curriculum

• Understand approaches such as  play-based learning, Reggio Emilia, constructivism, inquiry, experiential learning, sensory learning and social-emotional development

• Be able to design learning experiences, provocations and environments that encourage children to explore and think

• Work closely with teachers to plan, review and improve classroom experiences

• Conduct classroom observations and provide constructive pedagogical feedback

• Mentor and support Early Years teachers in their professional growth

• Develop weekly, monthly and term-wise curriculum plans

• Ensure consistency and quality across the Early Years classrooms

• Understand documentation and observation as important tools for understanding children's learning

• Build strong partnerships with parents and communicate children's development effectively

• Continuously evaluate the curriculum and make changes based on children's needs and observations
The role will involve:
Curriculum Leadership
Developing, implementing and continuously improving the Early Years curriculum.
Pedagogical Leadership
Helping teachers translate early childhood theories into authentic classroom practice.
Teacher Development
Mentoring, observing and coaching teachers and building a reflective teaching culture.
Learning Environment
Working with teachers to create thoughtful, stimulating and child-centred learning environments.
Documentation & Assessment
Strengthening observation, pedagogical documentation and developmental tracking.
Programme Coordination
Planning the yearly, monthly and weekly Early Years learning programme and ensuring effective implementation.
