Position Overview
Coordinate the NIH-funded Bridge training program that supports Haskell undergrads in research and professional development and transferring to KU for a terminal degree in a bioscience field.
Job Description- 50% - Direct trainee support: program onboarding, academic advising, research experience, professional development/transition after college
- 25% - Program activities and programming: help with organizing and implementing biannual program activities, monthly program meetings, weekly research conduct training, and periodic check‑ins with trainees and mentors.
- 25% - Program administration and operations, including data tracking and reporting, budget monitoring, scheduling, and logistical planning for program activities.
This position requires a formal degree in the cited discipline area(s) to ensure that candidates have advanced knowledge, analytical skills and professional competencies necessary to perform the duties of the position. The level of degree is commonly recognized as the standard qualification for similar roles in the public and private sector, ensuring that the university remains competitive with industry‑aligned practices, enhances collaboration with external partners, and supports the delivery of services and programs that meet professional and market‑driven expectations.
