Staff Engineer, Civil​/Geotechnical

Braun Intertec is seeking a Civil/Geotechnical Staff Engineer to join our Lenexa, KS office.

• Perform various field and laboratory tests
• Work independently on specific assignments of limited scope and with engineers on larger projects
• Prepare proposals for geotechnical and material testing projects
• Manage basic geotechnical and material testing projects
• Maintain client communications and build client relations
• Develop solutions, make recommendations, and prepare engineering reports for review
• Observe construction in progress and report to the project engineer
• Gain experience relevant to working toward obtaining a Professional Engineer license

• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Perform field-related services at least 50% of the time
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. regularly and up to 75 lbs. periodically
• Travel up to 25% of the time

• Prior professional consulting experience desired, up to four years
• Geotechnical experience preferred
• Proficiency in field testing and report writing
• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering with geotechnical, materials emphasis, or related

• Possess EIT certification or ability to obtain within 6 months

Compensation Range: $48,000.00 - $72,000.00
