Job Description

Professional Service Industries, Inc. (Intertek-PSI) is a leading US‑based provider of construction assurance, testing and inspection in civil and commercial construction.

What you’ll do
  • Perform environmental services including Phase I and II environmental site assessments (ESAs)
  • Perform soil and groundwater sampling
  • Assist in assessment and remediation and field observation documentation
  • Perform industrial hygiene services to include performing asbestos, indoor air quality, and lead surveys
  • Prepare technical proposal and reports
  • Communicate with clients and regulators to keep projects moving and on schedule
  • Self‑manage and make decisions during all phases of a project
  • Manage and control project budgets and build solid relationships with clients

Minimum Requirements & Qualifications
  • Minimum BS in Environmental Science, Biology, Engineering, Geology, or related field
  • 4+ years of proven technical environmental consulting experience
  • Strong technical proposal and report writing abilities
  • Detail‑oriented, team player with excellent communication, analytical, and organization skills, and time and budget management skills
  • Computer literate and able to operate most field/office equipment relating to one’s discipline
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Valid Driver’s License and reliable driving record
  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time
Preferred Requirements & Qualifications
  • Current lead and asbestos (KS, MO, NE, AR) certification.
  • Outboard boat operation and boat trailering experience.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift, move, push, and pull 30 to 50 pounds frequently
  • Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication (hearing) and to distinguish sounds
  • Ability to kneel and squat occasionally
  • Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions (hot and cold)
  • Ability to climb occasionally
