Job Description
Summary:
The Client Support & Training Specialist supports KUMC programs that provide education, coaching, and training to individuals, families, and service providers working with people who have developmental, physical, behavioral, or sensory disabilities. The role delivers evidence‑based training in behavioral techniques, including behavior analysis, criterion‑referenced assessments, and autism interventions, focusing on increasing participant skills and addressing challenging behaviors such as aggression and self‑stimulatory actions while coordinating sessions, providing resources, and documenting outcomes.
Job Description / Duties:
- Assist with the implementation of an internally funded grant.
- Recruit participants for training, obtaining service provider and child consents for participation.
- Obtain consent from trainees participating in training.
- Prepare for training by creating materials and helping trainees register.
- Provide ongoing monitoring and coaching to service providers via video and in‑person feedback.
- Conduct assessments of service providers in the application of targeted skills.
- Assist with reports on findings from training for funding agencies.
- Provide administrative support.

Work Environment: The position will travel to training sites throughout the state of Kansas.
Required Qualifications –
Work Experience:
- Four (4) years of experience in early childhood education, behavior analysis, psychology, language, or a related field. Education may substitute for experience on a year‑for‑year basis.
- Two (2) years of work experience with children using the principles of applied behavior analysis.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Education: Master’s degree in early childhood education, behavior analysis, psychology, language, or a related field.
- Work Experience: Five (5) years of experience training service providers to work with children with an autism spectrum disorder (ASD).
- Skills: Computer skills, collaboration, interpersonal skills, communication, organization.

Compensation Statement: The pay range is determined by our compensation program using market data and salary benchmarking. The starting pay range is $21.09 – $28.47 hourly.
