    Saturday or Sunday.

$38.00 per hour

  • Provide quality nutritional care, including development, implementation, and monitoring of Medical Nutrition Therapies.
  • Work collaboratively with medical staff, patients, families, and food service department to implement nutrition care plans and maintain departmental standards.
  • Perform nutritional assessments, re‑assessments, recommend interventions, and monitor patient progress.
  • Develop and monitor enteral and/or parenteral nutrition support regimens.
  • Collaborate with Speech Therapy Department to progress textured modified diets for patient safety and oral intake optimization.
  • Clarify admission orders to align with the facility’s nutrition support formulary and diet manual.
  • Consider religious, cultural, and ethnic factors in nutrition care plans.
  • Review and approve the therapeutic diet manual annually; educate staff on manual location and maintain hard copies.
  • Maintain current professional registration and pursue continuing education and specialized certification.
  • Evaluate potential food/drug or herb/supplement interactions.
  • Attend interdisciplinary team meetings and communicate progress and special needs.
  • Participate in menu development, planning, and standardization.
  • Perform meal rounds to ensure trays meet prescribed diet and quality standards.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree majoring in Food and Nutrition or a related field.
  • Current state licensure/certification, if required by state.
  • Current registration with the Commission on Dietetics Registration.
  • One (1) year of clinical experience in a facility setting with clinical responsibilities.
