The WTI Field Resource Foreman oversees safety, efficiency, and quality of the WTI field service business, focusing on safety, crew management, and efficient execution of all WTI projects in the assigned region.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Conduct the daily onsite safety brief before the start of each WTI project with the Sales Rep, customer, and crew; ensure all equipment, tools, and surroundings are inspected and discuss any safety concerns.
- Submit Daily Hazard Analysis forms and ensure technicians complete them.
- Ensure all project communications are completed before the start of any WTI project, including:
- Daily or before new projects with the WTI Field Resources Supervisor.
- Weekly or as needed with the Sales Rep.
- Scope discussions with the crew, daily tasks, and schedule with crew members.
- Daily or weekly communication with the customer/client as required by the Sales Rep.
- Manage project start and end times, daily productivity (hours, man‑days, etc.), and ensure tools and materials are available to complete the assigned project safely and efficiently.
- Use the designated company‑mandated reporting tool to complete end‑of‑day and/or end‑of‑project walk‑throughs, ensuring quality of workmanship and addressing punch‑list items.
- Ensure all WTI Field Resource Reps have a professional appearance and maintain customer interaction standards during services.
- Order, track, and monitor inventory; perform quarterly cycle counts and submit reports timely.
- Provide pricing for self‑performing projects exceeding $12,500.
- Submit proposals over $20,000 to the Supervisor for review and approval before forwarding to the GS Administrator for logging and distribution to the Sales Rep.
- Monitor and manage Field Reps, consult the Supervisor for corrective actions, and involve HR as required.
- Coordinate with the Supervisor to create project schedules.
- Review time reports daily and correct discrepancies with the admin team.
- Attend all appropriate calls, meetings, and trainings.
- Perform any other duties and/or projects as required or assigned by the Supervisor or Regional Business Manager.
- Minimum of five years of experience in the roofing industry.
- Thorough familiarity with built‑up, EPDM, PVC, and other low‑slope roofing systems, as well as metal and steep‑slope roofing systems, and the ability to properly repair them.
- 30‑hour OSHA certification.
- Registered Roof Observer (RRO) preferred but not required.
Skills and Abilities
- Ability to travel out of town, including overnight stays.
- Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
- Ability to work weekends and/or holidays when needed.
- Ability to pass a pre‑employment drug test.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English.
