* Job Description:

** The Production Group Leader is responsible for operating equipment and performing machine set-ups as needed, overseeing daily operations within the production area to ensure safety, quality, and efficiency standards are met. This role leads a team of production associates, coordinates workflow, and drives continuous improvement initiatives to meet organizational goals.

* ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

*** Performs production tasks such as working on the production floor as needed, helping with machine set-ups, planning, equipment maintenance, and troubleshooting
** Leadership & Supervision:
*** Direct and support production team members to achieve daily targets.
* Foster a positive work environment focused on teamwork, accountability, and safety.
** Production Management:
*** Monitor production schedules and adjust resources to meet deadlines.
* Ensure compliance with quality standards and operational procedures.
** Safety & Compliance:
*** Enforce safety protocols and conduct regular safety audits.
* Address and report any safety concerns promptly.
** Continuous Improvement:
*** Identify process inefficiencies and implement improvements.
* Support lean manufacturing and cost-reduction initiatives.
** Communication & Reporting:
*** Maintain accurate production records and report key metrics.
* Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams (maintenance, quality, logistics).

* EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

*** High School or equivalent required
** KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
*** Mechanical aptitude, basic math, computer use, forklift experience.
* High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree a plus.
* 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment, at least 1 year in a leadership role a strong plus.
* Strong knowledge of production processes, safety standards, and quality systems.
* Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
